It may not be yours, but there’s a reason why Twilight and Fifty Shades of Grey are two of the most popular books of all time. “Invasive ogling” of children isn’t my Having A Weird Mom Builds Character shirt either but I can still at least recognize it when it’s happening. Stepping back and looking at it with a more objective eye, I can see how it probably comes off as a bit too condescending, a tad less professional than what I normally strive for in my writing. I’ll chalk it up to wanting to channel that “Drop It” label with a more forward hand.
